ABOUT US
Our Home is one of the leading residential nursing homes in the Southend On Sea
area, providing quality nursing care with outstanding facilities since 1954 with a reputation of excellence.
We pride ourselves on our consistently high service standards over the years.
The Nursing Home enjoys a pleasant South facing aspect to the Thames Estuary
which can be seen from the front rooms. The sea front, Chalkwell and Westcliff
railway stations are all within approximately half a mile with adequate taxi services
available. Our residents are also able to enjoy the nearby pleasant gardens and
amenities of Chalkwell Park, local shops and cafes.
The Nursing Home has a warm, pleasant and relaxed homely atmosphere. Whilst
providing high standards of Nursing and personal Care, with qualified nurses and
care staff on duty throughout the day and night.

Langley Lodge is registered with the Registered Nursing Home Association, (R.N.H.A) the South Essex Care Homes Association (S.E.C.H.A), Essex Independent Care Association (E.I.C.A) and with the Care Quality Commission (C.Q.C), our governing body.

At Langley Lodge Nursing Home, we will aim to provide a ‘Home from Home’ for our service users. Our overall aim will be to provide every service user with the highest possible standard of individualised care within a friendly, homely and supportive environment. Quality of life is of paramount importance and service user’s rights are safeguarded and respected.
We will ensure that Service Users are treated as individuals with courtesy and respect, protecting their privacy and dignity
We are always looking for ways to improve the service that we deliver. This is why
we welcome your comments, complaints and ideas. We will regularly hold service
user meetings where service users, families and friends are able to give feedback,
voice any concerns and comment of the service being delivered.
Our History
The Langley Lodge Nursing Home was established in 1954. Our Victorian building is located within idyllic, peaceful grounds in Westcliff On Sea. Langley Lodge has since been extended over the years with a purpose build wing and a new renovation of our second floor. All rooms are able to provide our service users with a comfy living space and excellent facilities. The total accommodation is for 29 service users for either medical convalescence or residential stays. Arrangements can be made for long or short term stays.

Thank you to Langley Lodge Nursing Home, who looked after my mum so well in her last weeks. They kept her impeccably clean and as pain-free as possible, but also really cared for her. Nothing was too much trouble and made it easier for mum and for the family to cope with what was happening to her.
David and I cant thank you enough for all your thoughtfulness, Kindness and above all Wonderful care over the last 10 months. Dave has made such fantastic progress under your care and I know he is going to miss you all so much, as will I.
In addition to the nursing care, the personal care from all the care assistants was also of a high standard and delivered with compassion as well as professionalism.
